A big thank you for attending the AGM. We were so pleased with the high turnout. Report will appear here soon.
The date of our 2026 Redditch u3a AGM is Tuesday, 19th May. We will meet as usual from 1.45pm for a 2pm start and the meeting will finish by 4pm. The venue will be The Bridge Community Hall, Headless Cross, Redditch.
The closing date for committee nominations, proposals and questions to be received by the Secretary has now passed.
The AGM agenda, draft minutes of the 2025 meeting and consolidated accounts can be found by clicking on the buttons below.
Following the formal AGM business and light refreshments, Steve Prosser, leader of the Music in Our Time interest group, will be entertaining us with a presentation entitled "Don't Mention the Weather". It will be a 30-minute talk including several videos of songs from the 60's, 70's and 80's that mention various types of weather, plus a few quiz questions.
Remember that the membership year will commence on 1st July. We will be giving you details of how to pay nearer the time.

Record of AGM 2025
The 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) took place at 2.00pm on Tuesday 20th May at The Bridge Church Community Hall in Headless Cross.
Thank you to everyone who was able to attend. Here are the minutes of our AGM on Tuesday, 20th May, 2025 (click on the blue button directly below this paragraph). They are subject to approval at the AGM next May, of course. I hope that those of you who were unable to join us will find the minutes of interest. They include the report given by our new Chair, Sue Gee, and the names of the committee who have been elected or re-elected including Neil Gordon as our new Treasurer, and Stephen Lawrence as a committee member.
After our short AGM meeting, the fun started! June Ferrier wished to celebrate her 85th birthday with us and had brought us cakes. After a rendition of 'happy birthday', cream teas and cakes were on offer, while committee members served teas and coffees. (We will refine this process next time!). Then, Tony Brannon, with a little help from his friends Gwen and Bob, commenced an afternoon of musical quizzes and bingo, featuring music from the 70s (and our youth!). There followed much laughter, singing along and arm waving - and a couple of us were even tempted to have a dance but fortunately for everyone else, we refrained. We will certainly be booking Tony again!

The agenda (do read our exciting proposal), draft minutes from last year, and the Annual Accounts to 31 March 2025, which have been agreed by the examiner, can be downloaded below. We welcome questions, but it would be very helpful if any questions related to the accounts could be notified in advance. This is because our retiring Treasurer is not able to attend the AGM, so we may need time to check with her if we don't know the answer!
Thank you for your support.
Sue Gee
Chair
