Your Committee provides the administration and management of the Redditch u3a.
It consists of a Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer, Secretary and various other roles to ensure that activities are well managed throughout the year. Committee meetings typically take place five times a year, usually in January, March, July, September and November.
The Committee is elected by the membership at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in May each year. The AGM is an opportunity for the membership to find out more the activities behind the scenes and future plans and ask questions.
We encourage members to consider joining the Committee to assist in the administration and management of Redditch u3a including the continued expansion of interest groups and social activities. The 2025-2026 Committee comprises:
Chair: Sue Gee
Role: To direct, manage and organise Redditch u3a through its committee.
Vice-Chair: Sue Smith
Role: To act as deputy to the Chair and assist in the management of all activities.
Treasurer: John McBride
Role: To manage the financial accounts, monitor expenditure and provide forecasts when necessary.
Secretary: Sylvia Edwards
Role: To be responsible for effective and efficient administration and act as a point of contact for both internal and external matters.
Membership Secretary: Jill Barrett
Role: To manage new and existing members including receipt of annual membership subscriptions.
Programme Team:
Pam Cuthbert (Programme Secretary) & Carol Rogers (Programme Administrator)
Role: To develop an annual programme of speakers for general meetings.
Events Coordinator: Murray Taylor
Role: To coordinate various social events during the year.
