We publish a monthly newsletter for our membership. This is sent out via email at the end of each month and mailed to those without email access. Whilst we do not publish copies of the newsletters on this website (as they contain names, telephone numbers, etc.), you can request another copy of the newsletter by emailing our Jill Barrett (click on her name to open up messaging box).

The Way We Do Things
Redditch u3a, like all other u3as, is a self-help organisation where everyone is encouraged to contribute. We appreciate that this is not always possible due to circumstances, but any help is always welcomed.
The list below shows a few examples:
- Starting new interest groups
- Becoming a committee member
- Giving talks at meetings
- Assisting in the running of an interest group (e.g. making refreshments, collecting money, keeping attendance list, etc.)
- Helping out at any u3a meeting or outing to ensure the smooth running of the event (e.g. setting up tables/chairs, refreshments, etc.)
We proudly refer to our growing number of helpers as u3a "STARS" and we really appreciate all their help.
Safeguarding
Please note: any member with a concern that is covered by our Safeguarding Policy should contact our Safeguarding Officer in the first instance, in person or through the website (click on safeguarding officer in the yellow box below).
Privacy
In order to benefit from u3a membership, certain personal information, e.g. your name, and contact details, need to be made available to the local organisation, in particular our membership secretary. In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) introduced in May 2018, all members will, on the membership form, and at annual renewal, will be asked to consent to their use, within our u3a, of their personal data held by us, and to share it with specified third parties as explained in our Data Protection Policy and Privacy Policy.
Photography
If a photograph is to be taken at a u3a meeting or event, you should be asked if you wish to appear in it and informed that it might be used for advertising purposes and/or on the website. If you do not wish to be in the photograph, please politely inform the photographer and move away from the planned setting.
Any photographs used on this website that include members posing, have been used in good faith, and the subjects have agreed with the photographer to the image being used. It is the photographer who owns the copyright to the photo. If you see yourself in any photograph on this website and did not give your permission and want it removed, please contact the Website Coordinator, Steve Prosser and this will be done.
