5th Monday, is the opposite of an interest group. Rather than being for those wit h a specialist interest, 5th Monday takes a topic and seeks to explore all aspects of the topic: its science, history, technology, economics, politics, ethics, and more. Our first meeting at Webheath will be on Monday 30th November at 2pm. You are all welcome.

November’s topic is global warming. Please join us for the full picture of the subject. We expect interest groups will deal in detail with parts of it over the next few years: Exploring Science may explain the greenhouse effect, El Niño, Thwaites glacier, the warming of Europe; Today’s Technology may look at non-fossil fuel energy, electric car development; History at development of our knowledge about global warming; Philosophy at the ethical decisions involved in multinational agreements.

5th Monday takes the overview of it all—it puts the context behind all the details that may be added by the other groups. If you have any questions about global warming—and if not, why not—then join us on Monday 30th November at 2pm, Webheath Village Hall.
