John Cartmell will be presenting "People who made science".

We have heard about people doing science but what about those that made science? Some scientists—and some philosophers—laid down the rules and conventions that now set the standards for what is science. In ‘They Made Science’ John finds a dozen people that set such standards and challenges you to offer alternatives to his choice. There will be an informal on-line discussion to continue the debate—that’s from 7pm following the afternoon presentation.
