The History group was started in September 2020 during lockdown by Malcolm Hall.

The group’s purpose is to examine the past in order to gain a better understanding of how it has influenced our country and the world today, and to question and challenge historical records. It can include local, national, and international content. We include visits and guest speakers as they become available. The group has previously met on Zoom, but with effect from March 2025 will meet at Webheath Village Hall.

Topics have varied greatly so far, and have included: ‘The Great Plague’, ‘Roman Britain’, ‘Q Ships’ and more recently 'D Day Landings' and 'Radio Comedy of the 1950's and 1960's'.

We will always welcome new members and presentations on any historical topic.
