This new group met for an initial meeting on Tuesday 7th July at 2.30pm at The Bridge Church Hall. With good support from a number of members, the group will meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday mornings 10:00am to 12 noon at Webheath Village Hall.
The meeting will be split into two halves:
10:00am - 10:50am 'Newkies' - basically a beginners class
10:50am - 11:10am Refreshment break
11:10am - 12noon 'Ukies' - more advanced session but 'Newkies' are encouraged to join in and play/sing along.
There will be an admission charge of £3.00. You will need to buy a folder for £5.00 to get started which contains 12 starter pieces of music. I shall add to the folders with about 5 or 10 new songs each month, depending upon progress.
I have a couple of spare ukuleles if anyone is not sure and want to try one out first. Also if you think you can't manage to play a ukulele but would like to sing (the group is called Uke & Sing!), you can join as a singer at £2.50 per session.

Well done to all of you who attended this morning's session.
We added a few new songs including
'One day like this' and 'Mull of Kintyre'.
We're having the rest of the month off and will be meeting next (all well rehearsed, I'm sure) on Thursday 3rd September at 9.45am.
This was our second session of Uke & Sing……as you can see, everyone is enjoying our new group!
