How much is the membership fee?
Our membership year runs from 1st July through to the end of the following June. The cost of annual membership is £15.00 which includes a payment of £4.00 to the National u3a Office. This £4.00 payment covers such items as insurance, media licences, resources and guidance advice. The remainder of the membership fee covers local costs such as printing, postage, room hire for monthly and committee meetings. You will also receive a copy of the u3a national magazine called 'u3a Matters'.
If you are a new member and you join part way through the year then the fees are reduced according to the table below. It does not subsidise interest group activities. Interest group meetings may be free or a small charge may be made to cover room hire and/or refreshments, where applicable.

Not sure about joining?
To help you make up your mind, we offer the attendance of up to one meeting of each of three different interest groups or main meetings without any commitment (a nominal fee is charged to cover room hire and refreshments). One of these three may be an outing or event. We also hold an informal New and Prospective Members Meeting at our 1st Tuesday monthly meetings. where you can chat with us over a cup of tea or coffee (which we will provide). You could raise any other queries that you have and tell us about yourself and the skills that you might offer the group. It will also be an opportunity for you to meet other new or prospective members who may be attending. Please see the Events page for details of the next such meeting. There is no need to book - just arrive at 2pm at The Bridge Church Community Hall, Headless Cross. There is no charge for attending this meeting.
